Abdulla Y. Al Mulla comes to the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum with more than 35
years of professional experience with international and local organizations in sports, protocol,
event management, media and public relations, human resources and administration. He is
appointed as Media & Broadcasting Director for Asian Athletic Amateur Federation, Protocol Chief
for Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), Protocol Director for Olympic Council of
Asia and Board Member of International Table Tennis Federation. He has worked with United
Nations under the leadership of the secretary of United Nations Dr. Antonio Costa, as peace maker
on various collateral diplomatic relationships.
Mr. Al Mulla has held key leadership positions in events organised in Qatar, the region and
internationally and is an active protocol advisor to international organisations and countries
hosting events representing Qatar. He has significant experience with the Olympic Council Asia,
the International Olympic Committee, International Federations, the Asian Federation and
National Olympic Committees. He has been a Protocol Advisor for the Asian Games in Jakarta
(2018), Korea (2014), Guangzhou (2010); Asian Winter Games in Astana (2011), Almaty and
Kazakhstan (2011); Asian Beach Games Bali (2008) and Muscat (2010); and the Incheon Asian
Games (2015). He was also a Tournament Director and Vice President for the Qatar Open Table
Tennis Tournaments (1986-2008), and has served as director for major sporting organisations
and events including DAGOC (Doha Asian Games Organsing Committee) 2006, IAAF
(International Association of Athletics Federations) World Indoor Championships 2010, Arab
Games 2011, 2016 UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) Road Cycling Championships, IAAF World
Championships 2019, AWBG (ANOC World Beach Games) 2019 and FIFA Club World cup 2020.
He is a graduate from University of Arizona specializing in Business Administration. Mr. Al Mulla
has written a book on his experiences in sports world, Perfect Pitch that was launched in 2017.
