Three Not-To-Be-Missed Experiences at Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition 2023

Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition, one of the longest-running and most anticipated events in Qatar’s annual social calendar, returns for its 19th edition in Doha this week.

Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE), the largest business-to-customer event of its kind in the region, returns to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) this week and runs to February 25.

Here are three experiences at this year’s event that luxury connoisseurs shouldn’t miss:

  1. Inspiring Talks from the Region’s Most Respected Designers

This year, DJWE brings to its thousands of visitors a range of premium experiences to the concourse area of the DECC. Central to the concourse is the event’s first-ever, purpose-built studio which will feature a daily line up of exclusive talks with some of the world’s most respected jewellery and watch designers and entrepreneurs. With a schedule that includes Damas CEO Luc Perramond detailing the journey of the regional jewellery giant, visitors to the exhibition can tune into the inspiring conversations and draw inspiration from the ideas and visions being shared by the industry’s heavyweights.

  1. Set your sights on coveted watches up for auction by Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo

Seminal global auctioneers, Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo, will unveil a selection of watches ahead of its Geneva Spring auctions as well as a tightly curated selection of watches available for immediate purchase at DJWE.

Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo is the Watch department at Phillips, a leading global platform for buying and selling 20th and 21st century art and design. With auctions throughout the year in locations that include Geneva, New York and Hong Kong, Philips holds multiple world records including the world’s most expensive vintage wristwatch – Paul Newman’s Rolex Daytona ref 6239 with “Paul Newman” dial, which sold for above 17 million USD.

  1. Have Your Gems Checked by the Industry’s Finest

A new partnership with Al Darwish Jewellery will see the arrival of the IDT Gemological Laboratories at this year’s DJWE, giving visitors the opportunity to have their jewellery officially examined and certified by some of the industry’s most qualified experts.
